What do you know and how do you know it? What stories have been passed down and how do you know if it is a fact or legend? We will explore these important questions that will help you begin your genealogy research.

Learn the importance of birth, marriage and death records and the clues, you get from those records. This session will teach you how to read those records and begin the process of documenting your information on a Pedigree Chart and a Family Group Sheet. Also included in this session is an introduction to documenting your sources, a must for every genealogist. Although this session is geared for beginners, genealogists at all skill levels are welcome to attend to fine tune their skills.

Masks are optional.

Free and open to all. In order to receive class notices and handouts, pre-registration is required.

Registration will be open: September 2 through October 1
